Oberländer offers alligator shears for shredding smaller quantities of manageable scrap, up to steel profiles with a cross section of 240 mm. The Alligator scissors type HS170 600-7,5 kW can quickly and safely cut scrap, metal, and cables with a shear force of 170 tons, as well as remove composites such as tires from rims.
The scissors are delivered in a compact, mobile design for ergonomic handling. The hydraulics are housed in the base body of the scissors. An intervention protection and a counterholder ensure safe operation by the worker. The scissors are operated using a foot switch.
The rigid construction and firm mounting of the shearing head using cast parts distinguishes the scissors from competitive products. Even when the scissors are subjected to heavy use, the shearing precision at the shear gap is maintained, which ensures a long service life.
Use of castings with higher strength and rigidity: Compared to cheaper fired parts, these castings enable full use of the shear force without distortion of the shear jaw.
Patented arrangement of the shearing cylinder: The shearing cylinder is placed in the lower, protected construction, eliminating obstruction from cylinder hoses and pipes in the operating area.
Extra hold-down cylinder: This design allows for higher cutting force for the scissors, instead of simply moving the hold-down device using the shearing function, which would reduce the shearing force.
Compact enclosed hydraulic system: The hydraulic system is compactly enclosed and offers easier access through an easily removable enclosure.
Roller conveyor: For feeding long products.
Adjustable stops: For setting fixed cutting lengths.
Attachment stopper: For cutting round material so that it doesn't slip out.
Central lubrication: For uniform and easy lubrication of the scissors.
Oil preheater: For outdoor winter operation.
Extra cooler: For operation at high ambient temperatures (tropics).
