October 2024, Oberländer Recycling Maschinen has overhauled and optimized a special shear for shredding heavy plates from plasma cutting companies.
In this column guided shear with a shear width of 3.2 m, plasma cutting plates with a maximum length of 12 m and a width of 3 m are placed on a heavy plate conveyor at a height of approx. 4 m and then moved into a guillotine shear. In these shear, the plate is divided into strips of a few centimeters, with the sections breaking into small pieces due to the plasma cutouts.
In addition to overhauling the guidance and storage, the plate conveyor was reinforced and the belt support was optimized.
With the restart in October 2024, the shearing performance and precision could be optimized.
